So far, ticket prices have directed four games, including Brothers: The Story of Two Sons, One Way Out, Two Novels, and Novels require them. Selling 23 million pieces is the biggest success of the two batches. Split novels were almost twice the budget and sold 2 million copies in the first week.
Gamespot’s Split Fiction review scored 10/10 for the game. The game was released by EA through its EA Originals program; it is the first time since Mass Effect 2 in 2012 that it has reached 90 or higher on Metacritic.
All Hazelight’s games have been collaborative champions so far. Fares said the co-op will always be part of Hazelight DNA, but he did not rule out the possibility that the studio would change things. “You never know what will happen in the future. It’s not impossible for us to study single player. However, it will be done in a hazy way and has a hazy twist. This won’t be your typical single player.”
Also in the interview, the fare revealed the relationship between Hazelight and EA. He confirmed that Hazelight would not tilt towards EA. Instead, Hazelight said to EA, “We’re going to do that.” “That’s it. They can’t tell what we’re going to do next.”
Fares say EA may indeed be a partnership with other companies, but not Hazelight. They respect us. They respect our work. I know them well that they cannot interfere in our work. ”
