Random: Square Enix, Nomura has the most Kingdom Hearts social media communications imaginable
Having been in a few months since we walked 1000 days, without any news about Kingdom Hearts IV, Square Enix’s social media post highlighted recent exchanges, and director Tetsuya Nomura immediately sparked our ears. We really should know better.
To celebrate the 23rd anniversary of the series (thanks to GamesRadar+), publisher Square Enix asked Nomura if he had any obscure Paopu fruit legends that he wanted to share with hungry audiences. This star-shaped fruit is known to be native to the Island of Destiny, as established by the Heart of the Primitive Kingdom:
“If two people share one, their fates will be intertwined. They will remain a part of each other’s lives anyway.”
The Square Enix team asked Nomura, “Is there any unknown story behind Paopu fruit?”
Nomura replied: “You mean the promised paradise?”
At present, we have already felt our blood pressure rise, but work hard for a story.
Square Enix tried again: “The word ‘paopu’ comes from combining the word “promised paradise”?”
Nomura seems to be drunk in the form of a delicious fruit fermentation, “or is a pure paradise?”
The publisher then actively decided to publish the following response.
SE said, “Hmm!?” Nomura replied, “I don’t think there is a special story.”
