Jason Isaacs should play Lucius Malfoy’s Awesome Choice in HBO’s Harry Potter TV Series
There is no doubt that Thailand is far from Hogwarts, but White Lotus Season 3 star Jason Isaacs is still on who should take over his role as Lucius Malfoy in HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter TV series.
“Meryl Streep,” What if…? The voice actor revealed that he was his choice of variety show, a new interview focused on White Lotus.
“She can do anything, that woman. Actually, there is no limit to what she can do.” Streep actually once played a man. She portrays several characters in the American version of HBO miniseries, one of which is an elderly male rabbis. So, honestly, she might be able to achieve that.
That said, Isaacs has no advice for her, or anyone who might end up playing his role. “I don’t have any advice at all. Why should I bother?” he said. “I know some of the guys they’re already playing. They’re great actors. It’s going to be great and the last thing they need is advice like old farts like me.”
Isaacs made his debut in the second Harry Potter films Harry Potter and the Secult of Secrets before reprising the role in the fourth film Harry Potter and Goblet of Fire until the final issue, Harry Potter and Death’s Sacred Part 2.
John Lithgow will star in the upcoming series with Richard Harris, then Albus Dumbledore played by Michael Gambon. The only other role that seems to be close to the show is Professor Severus Snape, originally played by Alan Rickman and Minerva McGonagall was originally played by Maggie Smith. Black Mirror star Paapa Essiedu is reportedly close to being played Snape, while Jessica Jones star Janet McTeer is allegedly close to being played McGonagall, but the roles are not officially confirmed yet.
